Elkins WV & Lexington KY

West Virginia. Beautiful. Up and down and up and down and sideways and up and down you go. It is wild and wonderful.

Nice town. Disorganized excursion railroads. We ended up not going for trip we looked forward to. And we weren't the only ones.

At a Shoney's, Mike and I saw the heaviest person we'd ever seen. 700-800 lbs ... maybe more. Wheelchair of course. Seemed like a nice fellow. Good looking. About my age. A photo of his face only would not reveal his size. Felt so bad for him ... and his wife and son(?).

Intended to take yet another excursion train in Versailles KY. Didn't happen. But saw some of the greatest thoroughbred farms in the world around Lexington.

Louisville and the Slugger factory await us tomorrow. And the Belle of Louisville.
